Farewell to Dr. Niva Chitrakar – A Successful Fellowship Journey
We recently bid farewell to Dr. Niva Chitrakar, an accomplished orthopedic surgeon from Nepal, who spent the last 1 year with us as a fellow under the guidance of Dr. Vikas Gupta, our esteemed hand surgery expert.
Dr. Chitrakar completed his masters in orthopedics 7 years ago and came to our clinic eager to learn the latest techniques and procedures in hand and wrist surgery. Over the course of his fellowship, he was exposed to a wide range of complex cases and had the opportunity to assist in numerous surgeries, from tendon transfers to fracture fixations and joint replacements.
“It has been a truly enriching experience,” said Dr. Chitrakar. “I have learned so much from Dr. Gupta and the entire team here. The exposure to advanced surgical methods and state-of-the-art facilities has been invaluable, and I’m excited to bring these skills back to Nepal to benefit my patients.”
To commemorate the end of his fellowship, we organized a farewell party last week, attended by the entire medical staff as well as Dr. Chitrakar’s family and friends. It was a bittersweet celebration, as we were sad to see him go but proud of his accomplishments and grateful for the contributions he made during his time with us.
During the event, Dr. Gupta praised Dr. Chitrakar’s dedication, hard work, and clinical acumen, stating, “Dr. Chitrakar has been an absolute pleasure to work with. His passion for learning and his commitment to providing the best possible care for his patients is truly inspiring. I have no doubt that he will continue to excel in his career and make a significant impact in the field of orthopedics.”
As Dr. Chitrakar departs, he takes with him not only a wealth of new knowledge and skills but also the fond memories of his time here. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and look forward to the day when our paths may cross again.
